My Blog
Here's what we had and how it fared:
Live Nachos I thought these were very good. Although just an appetizer, there was plenty for the three of us to enjoy. The cashew sour cream really made it special, since I haven't had sour cream in so long. I couldn't really make out the cashew cheese though. The chips themselves were very tasty, with just the right amount of spicy kick to them.
Live Wrap This actually came with two wraps, just the right size for perfect bites. The cashew sour cream on the side was again a treat, and really added to and complemented the wrap well. The cilantro lime pâté added a unique zest and zing to each bite.
Sizzlin' Stir Fry My son ordered the Sizzlin' Stir Fry on quinoa. It's not raw, and I didn't try any, but he really seemed to like it.
Live Sampler Platter This was a good overall sampling of a variety of things. It includes Eden Salad, Pad Thai, Live Pizza, cilantro lime pâté, flax crackers, avocado, cucumber, and tomato. Everything was tasty, but I was really impressed by the live pizza. Its crust was thicker and not as nutty as other live pizzas I've had, which was a refreshing change. It was also the first live pizza I've had with pineapple as a topping. (Perhaps that's the influence of their Hawaiian origin.) Overall it created a unique flavor experience.
I can never leave a new raw food restaurant without trying the dessert. We had live fudge and live pecan pie. The live fudge was served cold, and does it ever melt delectably in your mouth! Wow. The live pecan pie was very gooey and all delicious. Tempting desserts like these are the most dangerous part of eating raw!
